the first of a possible series of "clip-on" pieces, industry is in two parts; a minute introduction in a rough-hewn, straight-from-the-source american folk idiom using only guitar and wordless voice creates a character, and then a longer, more abstract, more heavily arranged second part creates an environment for that character. the sounds are from the prompto oil change station in ellisworth, me, and a piece of abandoned farm equipment I found in the woods in pennsylvania. the piece could change substantially before I arrive at a reasonably final version, so take a listen quick.
