welcome to daniel's roadsongs blog. this was a record of a year-long cross-country roadtrip in which I recorded lots of sounds, wrote some music, and tried to figure out how to shower in a van. since returning in the spring of 2008, I've deleted a lot of the original posts (and some of the links no longer work), but I'm keeping the rest of blog up for archival purposes. if you want to scope out what I've been up to since 2008, check out my current website at danielhhawkins.com. enjoy!

That's messed up. We have all fallen under hard times.She's right they weren't hurting anybody. And CNN could have just put that needle there so they could make the rest of us feel like they were doing the right thing.
This is bullshit. Absolutely no reason to do that to them. So they were profane, and used drugs. How is that in any way related to forcing them out of what was probably the healthiest shelter they're going to find for a long, long time?
